Theres a new dynamic duo in town, fighting spyware, malware, viruses and infections better then any combination put together. They’ve become the new replacement for the old alliance between spybot and ad-aware; except they weren’t blessed with such easy names…
Check out the top pair of trusted geek computer protection software and make sure you have these two on your computer. I have some inside information that our beloved head geek and owner of What The Tech runs this same combination!
The first of the dynamic duo is:
Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware– also abbreviated MBAM. It is a great tool in detection and removal of minor to more dangerous and compromising malware. “Using Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware is like bringing an M4 to a knife fight.” It’s been very well noticed that this program tries to monitor processes before they are run to stop malicious activity before they occur. Download the program, install and start the program! It’s as simple as that.
It’s partner in (fighting) crime:
SUPERAntiSpyware – also abbreviated as SAS. This program has a strong anti-spyware system as well as it is great at detection of other trojans, dialers and my personal favorite; keyloggers…etc. It’s run very soft on system resources so even users with the most basic setups can feel confident about running the program in the background. With a easy to use interface, it’s highly recommended by geeks everywhere so download your copy today and get it up and running!

1I disagree the best combination of anti spyware programs are. The free spyware doctor program that comes with google pack and free spyware cacher express which gets what Spyware Doctor misses. Add free threat fire from PC tools to monitor system activity and root kits and viruses and also add the free spyware doctor anti Virus and your completely covered. Spy-bot never did the job and niether did its cousin. These pretenders you recommend won’t do the job either! I run all these sofwares on my computer and they don’t slow it down one bit. I’ve done every combination in the book and tryed everyone out their. This is the combo that works the best!

3Just wondering if Maybe You work for PC Tools Inc LOL.
Also I wanted to ask:
If You’ve heard of (Desktop Screen Shot Capturing Mal-ware?)
“I’ll bet You have” Anyhow this type of threat steals SS’s of Passwords & Credit Card #’s ect. almost like a keylogger but instead of using text it uses Gif’s & JPeg’s & because none of what You’ve named as “the best setup” will see let alone stop this type of Mal-Ware,I felt obligated to share the tools which I found to work best at this type of problem.
There’s a low overhead solution to this threat & it’s named “SnoopFree Privacy Shield” it runs resident & will prevent yet another less than obvious avenue of attack.
Also with the new wave of RootKit attacks one actually needs a Pre-Boot Level Scanner/Monitor that checks Windows at a Pre-Boot Stage, for this check out UnHack-Me. These are different types of threats that one truly needs to be concerned with.

4In response to Mike (commenter numero uno) Spyware Dr’s “free” download thru Google Pack is a farce. They tell u your infected but do absolutely NO removal, PC Tools products are not free in anyway. Helpful I guess if you feel like finding the stuff for removal on your own. SuperAntiSpyware and MBAM are the best.

5i agree as far as free stuff, mbam and sas are the best. spybot is a close third. these three will get most of the stuff on your computer. still not as much as webroot spysweeper or stopzilla though. havent tried spyware doctor or counterspy, they are supposed to be about the same as as webroot and stopzilla. these cost money though…… 😉 also these paid ones i mentioned offer (EFFECTIVE) real-time coverage and stop spyware from latching on to your computer. i dont think any free will do this well….

11I’ve been looking at reviews of free spyware and virus removal software. Everyplace I go I see different opinions. What is a computer user to do? There is no agreement anyplace on anything.
I don’t like software that doesn’t tell you it is going to run at startup whether you like it or not so Spybot is out…and a few others I loaded.
Avast does run at starup but it also seems to be the best antivirus stuff I found so far.
I do run 3 spyware programs including Maleware. Each one finds something the others didn’t. I imagine if I loaded ALL the free stuff out there each one would find something the others didn’t. This sucks.
