Steve Ballmer is in the hot seat as he has acknowledge Microsoft falling behind its competitors.? Windows 7 was great, but its out of the mainstream media and the public has been waiting for Windows 7 mobile since last year.

Trying to stir up some new life for Microsoft, Ballmer announced Microsoft’s new emergence in the tablet market…this could be interesting.

Microsoft promised the world the Surface; a multi-touch screen which has really been small in the promotion and use world wide.? Tablets are more feasible and production like, and Microsoft does have the resources to make it happen.

The tablet still is a niche that Microsoft can jump into as there is no current industry leader in that market.
