I have pop-up’s all the time for my computer from Windows Anti-Virus Pro and it is so annoying.? It won’t let me get to my computer or get to my Task Manager to end the application itself.? How do I get out of this and fix my computer?

It’s pretty tough to remove and get rid of an infection when it restricts your ability to do anything else on your desktop just like Windows Anti-Virus Pro does.? In order to remove the infection, we’ll have to gain access to your Task Manager again using a Registry fix.? After we’ll go straight for the heart of the program and let a good antivirus and malware removal tool to get the rest out!

To start the removal process, download the Fixtm.reg file.? Double click the file and select Yes when it prompts if you would like to merge the file with your Registry.? You should now be able to use your Task Manager.

Using the hotkey of “CTRL+ALT+DELETE” start the Task Manager and in the Processes Tab to end Windows Antivirus Pro.exe and choose the End Task button.? Confirm the warning message and proceed with the termination.

After repeat the procedure for the process “svchast.exe” but be careful not to end “svchost.exe.”

After, download Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware

  • Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
  • Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  • Once the program has loaded, select “Perform Quick Scan”, then click Scan.
  • The scan may take some time to finish, so please be patient.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected. <- very important
  • When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart. (See Extra Note)
  • The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.

Extra Note:If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts, click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process, if asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately.

A simple reboot should have your computer completely clean by the next reboot!? Enjoy the freedom.
