When using windows photo gallery on my vista machine I keep getting popup warning “Bloodhound exploit 13” from Symantec. This is annoying even if it is low risk. Please can you suggest a fix?
This appears to be a false postive from Norton. The detection occurs as Windows Vista is processing the photo. Whether it’s the fault of Vista or Norton is unknown, but the issue has been around for a few months. To be safe, be sure you have installed the GDI+ security update.
Until they get the issue resolved, you could try the Windows Live Photo Gallery (beta). It’s faster, has more features, and I’m guessing will eventually replace Vista’s photo gallery.

1I have had this warning with Win 7 and my Norton is late 2009, although not while actually using photo gallery I have the latest Win 7 gallery.
